For Gorilla Bananas’ new limited edition drink, DDH was commissioned to create packaging that would clearly differentiate this flavor from the main product line while staying true to the established brand identity. The design needed to communicate its limited edition status instantly, highlight the flavor in a distinctive way, and do so without relying on direct fruit imagery within the food zone. At the same time, the pack had to feel stylish, recognizable, and unique on shelf.
To achieve this, we preserved the core visual DNA of the Gorilla Energy brand, ensuring the product remains unmistakably part of the family. The flavor is brought forward through bold visual cues and a carefully considered graphic language rather than literal fruit representation, creating a more refined and contemporary look
To highlight the flavor without using literal fruit visuals, we focused on a more graphic and atmospheric interpretation, creating a design that feels more elevated and contemporary. The carbon-inspired background pattern adds texture, energy, and depth, reinforcing the product’s attitude while giving the pack a stronger sensory appeal.
